Player profile: Ismaïla Sarr By Jonny Bray The Premier League is the most competitive it has ever been. Even the sides at the foot of the table have some elite players on their books. Watford are a great example of this. With stars like Ismaïla Sarr, Emmanuel Dennis and Joshua King all showing their class in recent months, it's difficult to see how they've found themselves in such an unflattering position. Sarr has been turning heads for several seasons now, and you have to think that if Watford go down, he'll be on his way out of the club. Even if Roy Hodgson does the impossible and keeps the Hornets up, the winger's days at the club would still be limited. He's been the target of several top sides for a few seasons, including Liverpool and Chelsea. And papers are now reporting that one of those clubs is Arsenal. So here is everything you need to know about the Senegal international. What would he bring to Arsenal? The 24-year-old forward is rapid, powerful and dir...

Arsenal v Watford review

Emile Smith Rowe has been vital for Arsenal this season Arsenal v Watford review By Jonny Bray Arsenal’s 1-0 win against Watford was a crucial result ahead of the upcoming international break. The result felt typical of the Gunners this season, with Mikel Arteta’s side appearing increasingly competent, if a little bit uninspiring. Despite the tight scoreline, Arsenal can take confidence from this result ahead of the return from the international break and that huge game against Liverpool. But there is still plenty to learn from the contest, especially if Arteta’s side are going to continue this remarkable run...

Arsenal vs Watford Preview

Three points the target as Arsenal host Watford this weekend By Oli Dickson Jefford Arsenal will look to continue their recent run of form when they host Watford at the Emirates Stadium this weekend. Mikel Arteta’s men will welcome the Hornets to the Emirates for a 2pm kick-off on Sunday and will be confident after going on a seven-match unbeaten run following three defeats in their first three league matches. In Profile: Watford It’s been a characteristically dramatic start to the season for Watford, who already have a new manager in the form of Claudio Ranieri after Xisco Munoz was fired by the club’s typically temperamental owners. Ranieri’s reign started with a horror show at Vicarage Road with a 5-0 defeat to Liverpool, though on a trip to Merseyside they came from 2-1 down to beat a woeful Everton 5-2. However, that was followed by a 1-0 home defeat to Southampton which leaves the Hertfordshire side sitting down in 16th and just three points above the relegation zone, after losin...
