The players Arsenal should have signed this summer

The players Arsenal definitely  should have signed this summer  It remains to be seen if the 2021 summer transfer window was a success for Arsenal. It was undoubtedly a costly window, with six players joining for a combined total of £149 million, leaving manager Mikel Arteta with no excuses heading into the new season. Despite the money spent, many fans, journalists and pundits have questioned Arsenal's recruitment and suggested that many of the players signed are not up to the standard needed to move the club forward. There is an argument that Arsenal could have gotten a higher calibre of players for the money they spent. But Arteta was not looking to add one or two top-quality players. He was looking for a total rebuild. Arsenal needed investment in several areas, and Arteta's transfer policy reflects that. However, there is still an argument that there were better players available.   Sam Johnstone Many thought Sam Johnstone was leaps and bounds ahead...

Would signing Aaron Ramsdale be a mistake?

Would signing Aaron Ramsdale be a mistake? By Jonny Bray Aaron Ramsdale has been linked with a move to Arsenal since the end of this summer’s European Championships. Despite not being England’s first, or even second choice, Sheffield United’s number one could be on the verge of one of the shock moves of the transfer window. Others have pointed to the plethora of impressive young goalkeeping t...

Five players Arsenal could target from the Premier League’s relegated sides By Oscar Maung-Haley With Arsenal looking to find a route back to into the Premier League’s elite, here are five players they could target from the three relegated sides to help improve their fortunes. Matheus Pereira The first name on the list is perhaps the best of the bunch. Matheus Pereira, 25, scored 11 Premier League goals for West Brom this season and perhaps the most impressive part about his haul is that he had never previously managed double-digit goals in his career, even when West Brom were in the Championship a season prior. Alongside his goals, Pereira also registered six Premier League assists, giving him 17 goal contributions for the 2020-21 campaign. For reference, that puts Pereira in the same conversation as Kevin De Bruyne (18) and Marcus Rashford (20) when it comes to combined goals and assists. And after showing off his quality this season, the Brazilian is hardly likely to want to stick a...
