Arsenal's January transfer targets  By Jonny Bray With Arsenal chasing a spot in next year's Champions League, it's becoming increasingly clear that this January's transfer window will be crucial to the short-term future of the club.  Tottenham look like they'll spend, so do Manchester United, and West Ham will always be on the lookout for a good deal.  With that in mind, it could be a crucial window for the Gunners, who appear a much better side this season. Mikel Arteta's team could still do with some improvements though, especially if they want to build on the progress from the first half of the campaign.  But who are Arsenal's transfer targets this January? Dominic Calvert-Lewin We've been saying it for months, Dominic Calvert-Lewin would be a perfect fit at Arteta's Arsenal.  Young, English, and with plenty of ro...

Potential transfer targets and a former Gunners striker - what can we expect from Brighton? By Josh Graham Arsenal end the Premier League season at home to Brighton with the visitors fresh from a stunning 3-2 victory over champions Manchester City.  Graham Potter’s men will give Mikel Arteta’s side a stern challenge on Sunday and boast potential Gunners transfer targets and even a former striker within their squad.  The Seagulls will be full of confidence after overturning a 2-0 deficit against Pep Guardiola’s men and will be looking for revenge after losing 1-0 to Arsenal at the Amex in December.  Danny Welbeck One man who would have been hoping for a warm welcome from the 10,000 Gooners lucky enough to be inside the Emirates on Sunday is Danny Welbeck.  The 30-year-old forward spent five years in north London after leaving boyhood side Manchester United in 2014. But the England international is set to be denied a homecoming after hobbling out of the extraordinary C...

Who should Arteta target if Kroenke sanctions summer spending?

Who should Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta target if owner Stan Kroenke sanctions summer spending?  By Bradley West Yes, Arsenal have just completed the double over Chelsea for the first time in 17 years and that is an achievement to be proud of.  But, it’s fair to say that this season hasn’t quite worked out as many fans would have hoped in Mikel Arteta’s first full campaign in charge.  For too long now the club has accepted mediocrity. The Emirates, and Gunners fans, deserve Champions League football.  With a hugely talented young core including the likes of Bukayo Saka and Emile Smith Rowe, there are positives signs for the future but this summer is vital.  If Stan Kroenke wants to try and appease fans after the European Super League debacle then he should dip into his own pocket and put his money where his mouth is to instantly improve the squad with a raft of summer signings.  He’s promised it on internal calls, but actions speak far louder than words....

Five right backs who could replace Hector Bellerin if the Arsenal defender decides to leave the Emirates in the summer By Adam Le Roux With the news that Hector Bellerin could be set for pastures new in the summer, Arsenal will be on the hunt for a new face to slip into the right back berth that the 25-year-old has made his own for the last few years. The Spaniard has been a regular name on the team sheet, injury permitting, for much of the last five years, with his shuttle runs up and down the right flank a familiar sight at the Emirates. But with a move to either former club Barcelona or PSG on the cards, the defender looks set to call a day on a ten-year spell with the Gunners, leaving Mikel Arteta a man light in the backline. It looks set to be another busy summer of comings and goings at the club as the boss looks to find his perfect squad, so who will he be looking at as a replacement on the right side of defence? Tariq Lamptey - Brighton Ever since he made his debut for the Seag...
