All or Nothing – what can Arsenal fans expect from this behind the scenes look at next season

By Josh Graham

Arsenal fans have begrudgingly got used to trailing behind Tottenham in the Premier League table.

And now the Gunners are following in the footsteps of their North London rivals off the field by letting in the Amazon cameras for the latest instalment of the behind the scenes sporting documentary series All or Nothing.

Last year Spurs were the subject of the access all areas film with the 2019-20 season on display and Jose Mourinho taking the fore, despite things not going to plan on the pitch.

But now Mikel Arteta and Co will be followed in the upcoming campaign, but what can fans expect from the series which is due to be released on Amazon Prime in the second half of 2022?

All: Big wins and big characters

If the Mourinho-dominated Tottenham effort is anything to go by then we should get a large glimpse of what Arteta is like outside of interviews.

Although the Spanish manager is certainly not as brazen as his Portuguese counterpart, it will definitely be interesting to see how big a role he plays as the episodes go on.

Fans can expect (hopefully) to see rousing half-time team talks and big fist-pumping celebrations after hard-fought wins at the Emirates.

One thing Gooners don’t have to worry about is an untimely European exit, having not qualified for any Uefa competition.

The official pitch is that fans can expect to see Arsenal battling to qualify once again for Europe as well as into the daily life of elite athletes.

It would be great content to see Bukayo Saka welcomed back after a fantastic Euro 2020, supported by his club teammates after his penalty miss and the inexcusable and disgusting racist abuse that followed, and also congratulated for some outstanding displays that took him from squad outsider to regular starter.

Bukayo Saka and Kieran Tierney

Cult characters such as Scotland’s Kieran Tierney should hopefully come to the fore, expect an in-depth analysis of his short-sleeved training get-up during the harsh winter.

Fans can also hope for a sneak peek into the behind closed doors nature of transfer dealings.

Perhaps a glimpse into negotiations and even the scenes as new signings, potentially Brighton and England defender Ben White, arrive at London Colney for the first time.

From the press release, it appears clear that the Gunners faithful will also follow their heroes into their community as they carry out important work in the name of the club.

And who knows, maybe there will even be another successful FA Cup run to follow with a potential trophy lift at Wembley come the end of the season.

Nothing: Devastating defeats and stifled content

In the world we live in, failure sells and good old ding dongs after a defeat make far better TV than a few well-choreographed dance routines following a mundane Premier League win.

So expect plenty of water bottles chucked across the changing room in anger and heated discussions as things go wrong.

The internet is already rife with jokes after a lacklustre start to Arsenal’s pre-season campaign with a mildly embarrassing 2-1 defeat away at Scottish side Hibernian.

And if results continue that way you can expect the Twitter meme machine to be in full swing come release date.

Hopefully the PR gurus are kept at bay and fans get a true version of events, warts and all.

Mikel Arteta at Hibernian

The bar has not been set too high because If the Gunners can avoid a managerial sacking, then they will at least be doing better than their bitter rivals who saw Mauricio Pochettino heavily edited out after being shown the door.

Expect to see some relatively forced and stale content beating the Arsenal drum about how good the club is.

But if anybody is brave enough to take on the Danny Rose role of steaming into the gaffer’s office to demand answers about a lack of playing time, then we are all here for it.

In short, the less sanitised and obvious it is that everyone is aware of the cameras roaming freely around them then the better the production will be for all involved and watching on.
