FIFA 22 was released almost three months ago but many will be unwrapping it on Christmas Day and looking to take on the challenge of career mode in the next couple of months.

And for Arsenal fans, it will be an exciting journey, with several players having a high potential rating.

Over the next few months, which Gunners should fans be targeting?

Bukayo Saka

Saka has been one of Arsenal’s biggest stars on the pitch this season and he could be a key pick for your FIFA XI this campaign.

The England international already has a rating of 80, making him one of the highest-rated Gunners in the game.

However, the 20-year-old has the joint highest potential rating of 88, meaning he could be a huge asset when playing.

Martin Odegaard

The Norwegian midfielder is another Arsenal ace who could prove to be a valuable asset for FIFA players with his high potential.

Odegaard has an overall rating of 82, which is matched by Alexandre Lacazette and only beaten by Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Thomas Partey from the current squad.

Yet he has a much higher potential than those three, equalling Saka with a potential rating of 88.

Emile Smith Rowe

Smith Rowe has been one of the most talked-about players in the league this year, though has not achieved cleared the 80 mark in FIFA just yet.

However, the midfielder has one of the biggest potential growths of any of Arsenal’s first-team regulars in this year’s game.

Smith Rowe currently has an overall rating of 78 but has a potential of 87- a substantial increase - making him a must-have for your team.

Gabriel Martinelli

Martinelli has excelled on the field in his past few real-life performances and gamers can expect a similar level of growth when playing FIFA.

The Brazilian currently has a surprisingly low rating of 76, but the 20-year-old has the biggest potential rating rise of anyone at the Emirates.

The forward could reach 87 which puts him level with Smith Rowe and just one behind Saka and Odegaard, but with the highest potential increase of 11.

Who else has potential?

Saka, Odegaard, Smith-Rowe and Martinelli have the highest potential ratings but there are several Arsenal players not too far behind them.

Ben White has a potential rating of 86 with a current overall rating of 77, meaning he could improve massively if you play with him.

Gabriel and Kieran Tierney both have potential ratings of 86, starting from an overall rating of 80, while Takehiro Tomiyasu has a potential of 85 after starting at 77.
