Arsenal's best goals so far this season

Arsenal's best goals so far this season

By James Reid.
Arsenal have scored several fantastic goals so far this season.
Mikel Arteta's side have put on a show for Gunners fans, defying pre-season expectations while including exciting young talent in the team.
With that in mind, let us take a look at Arsenal's best goals so far this season.

Bukayo Saka v Norwich City (a)

Bukayo Saka scored twice as Arsenal beat Norwich 5-0 on Boxing Day.
Saka had already opened the scoring with a good finish just inside the box in the first half.
However, the better of his two goals came in the second half when he received the ball from Lacazette on the right-wing, twisted and turned inside before firing the ball into the far corner from the edge of the box.

Alexandre Lacazette v Southampton (h)

The Gunners recorded a comfortable victory over Southampton at the Emirates in December.
The first in a 3-0 win was a fantastic team goal that started with Aaron Ramsdale and ended up with Lacazette slotting home inside the box.
Ramsdale calmly played out from the back to Ben White before Thomas Partey, and Martin Ødegaard set Takehiro Tomiyasu surging up the right-wing.
Tomiyasu found Saka, who crossed to put the ball on a plate for Lacazette.

Emile Smith Rowe v Brentford (h)

Arsenal made it two wins in a row after a dip in form in January with a dominant victory over Brentford at the Emirates.
Emile Smith-Rowe put the Gunners ahead with a dazzling dribble and finish just after half-time.
Smith-Rowe picked the ball up just inside the Brentford half, drove into the box between two defenders and curled the ball into the bottom corner.

Martin Ødegaard v Burnley (a)

Turf Moor can be a difficult place to go, but the Gunners came away with all three points courtesy of a stunning free-kick from Martin Ødegaard.
The Norwegian stepped up after Bukayo Saka was fouled just outside the box and curled the ball into the corner past Nick Pope to score the game's only goal.

Eddie Nketiah v AFC Wimbledon (h)

Arsenal comfortably beat League One side AFC Wimbledon in the Carabao Cup third round with goals from Lacazette, Smith Rowe and Nketiah.
Nketiah's was the pick of the bunch as he brilliantly converted Cedric's cross with an audacious flicked finish from behind him.

Gabriel Martinelli v Newcastle United (h)

Arsenal cruised past Newcastle in November with second-half goals from Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli.
Martinelli sealed the three points with a lovely dinked finish after latching on to a clipped through ball from Takehiro Tomiyasu.

Nicolas Pepe v Wolves (h)

It was looking like a home defeat for the Gunners with just ten minutes left on the clock against Wolves.
However, Nicolas Pepe got Arsenal back into the game with a lovely turn and finish on the 82nd minute before Alexandre Lacazette grabbed a late winner.
Pepe was played in by a reverse pass from Eddie Nketiah, who had run onto a lofted pass from Martin Ødegaard before receiving the pass on the turn and firing home with his left foot.

Martin Ødegaard v Manchester United (a)

Martin Ødegaard brought Arsenal level in a thrilling game at Old Trafford after finishing a flowing attacking move.
The ball started on the left before Thomas Partey sprayed it wide to Gabriel Martinelli on the right-wing.
The Brazilian crossed first-time for the onrushing Ødegaard, who was making a late run into the box, and the Norwegian slotted home with precision.
