Four Everton players Arsenal should try to sign
Four Everton players Arsenal should try to sign
Everton have been a mess of a football club for several years now, but this season they've hit a new low.
Some might argue that it's a bit rich to say that as Arsenal fans, but it's pretty clear that the true 'banter club' of the 2021/22 season is the Toffees.
However, after spending almost half a billion pounds over the last few years, there must be one or two players that Arsenal can poach this summer.
Richarlison
Richarlison is one of the few experienced players at Everton to escape this season with a shred of dignity.
His 11 goals and five assists in all competitions have proved crucial, particularly in the final games of the season where he has won the Toffees a lot of points.

Arsenal lack experience at that end of the pitch, and with Alexandre Lacazette seemingly past his best, it could be time to find a long term replacement.
Richarlison would be a perfect fit, and after several years of trying to take Everton to the next level, it is unlikely that Richarlison will want to spend another year fighting relegation at Goodison Park.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin
Dominic Calvert-Lewin has disappointed over the last 12 months after a number of excellent performances during the 2020/21 season.
His five goals and one assist have not been enough to keep the Toffees out of trouble and have seen him fall out of favour in England selection.
So you might be wondering, why should Arsenal sign him?
Well, his head and heart have clearly not been with Everton, so we could expect more from the international if he were to sign for the Gunners.
Plus, the striker seems to have found some of the form that made him so popular, leading the Toffees' fight back against Crystal Palace that ensured their Premier League safety.
Anthony Gordon
Anthony Gordon is a really exciting young talent.
The 21-year-old has arguably been Everton's best player this season and has definitely had his best campaign at Goodison Park.
He has scored four goals and registered three assists but also has one of the best pass completion percentages of any player in the Everton squad.
He's the standout player from Everton's side that the Gunners should try to sign.
He fits the profile of player that Mikel Arteta has attempted to bring to the Emirates since joining the club and would offer a lot going forward.
Abdoulaye Doucouré
While plying his trade at Watford, Abdoulaye Doucouré was one of the most wanted players in the Premier League.
The defensive midfielder was seen to have everything needed to reach the top of the game, and many people heralded him as a fantastic signing when he arrived at Goodison.

However, things have not gone to plan for the 29-year-old, who has regularly been criticised by Everton fans for his performances this season.
To be fair, he was given a difficult job in protecting an appalling back four.
The Gunners could get him for an affordable price after the last 12 months.
