The Gunners are the only team to have won their opening three matches and not only have the results been encouraging, but the performances have been exceptional. Several players have performed incredibly well and there is certainly a real sense of optimism around the club. Assessing Zinchenko + Jesus debuts

By Oli Dickson Jefford Arsenal’s season got off to the perfect start on Friday night with a 2-0 win over Crystal Palace at  Selhurst Park. After the disappointment   in the opening match  12 months ago against Brentford , this was a much better display against a side that certainly tested them at times. Gabriel Martinelli may have attracted headlines with his first goal of the season to kickstart Arsenal’s campaign, but eyes were also on Gabriel Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko. Both joined the Gunners from Manchester City this summer and were making their first competitive appearances in red and white  –  and   the pair certainly made an impact.
