Four Brighton players who Arsenal should try to sign

By Jonny Bray
Brighton & Hove Albion may not be in the best form but they still have players Mikel Arteta should be keeping his eye on ahead of the summer transfer window.
It will be a crucial window for Arsenal regardless of whether or not the Gunners qualify for the Champions League.
For that reason, Arteta and the recruitment team must make the right decision.
So with that in mind, here are four Brighton players who Arsenal should try to sign this summer.

Marc Cucurella

In one season on the south coast, Marc Cucurella has shown Premier League players, pundits, and supporters how good he can be.
The former Barcelona and Getafe star moved to Brighton last summer, having already made his debut for the Spanish national team.
And now he's making an impact in the Premier League, registering an assist and five clean sheets in 27 appearances.
Graham Potter's side have capitulated in the second half of this campaign but Cucurella has maintained his level of performance.
He has only just signed for Brighton and is on a contract until 2026, so we can expect the Seagulls to put a high price on the Spaniard's head.
But with Nuno Tavares showing he is not good enough against Crystal Palace, Cucurella could be a good substitute for Kieran Tierney.

Neal Maupay

He may not be the most popular figure at The Emirates but Neal Maupay has proven that he is a Premier League quality striker.
Maupay has been a thorn in the side of almost every team he has played since arriving in the Premier League and has the mentality needed to take the next step.
He has a reputation for being poor in front of goal but you could argue that Brighton are habitually wasteful in this area of the pitch.
His record of 26 goals and seven assists in 98 Premier League matches is not bad, and best of all, he wouldn't be able to score against the Gunners ever again.

Adam Webster

Before his injury, there were calls for Adam Webster to be called up to the England squad.
So far it's not to be, with injury disrupting his season, but the defender is a classy operator.
At 27-years-old, he is entering his prime and is ready to take the next step in his career.
He would provide excellent cover for former teammate Ben White and Gabriel in the heart of Arsenal's defence.

Yves Bissouma

It is hard not to put Yves Bissouma on this list, considering he has been linked with a move to The Emirates for a few windows now.
However, for obvious reasons, his arrival in north London would divide fans.
On the playing side, he is one of the Premier League's best midfielders and is more than ready to join a top-six side.
He is up there as one of the best players in the league at protecting a back four, and with Arsenal lacking an out and out holding midfielder, he could be exactly what the Gunners need.
