Transfer profile: Gleison Bremer

Gleison Bremer was one of Serie A's most exciting players last season, with the 25-year-old defender making a big impact at Torino.
The Brazilian centre back's star-making displays have put him on the radar of many of Europe's top clubs, with Arsenal being one of many sides keen to secure his signature.
The Gunners will face some serious competition for Bremer, though, with Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea also reportedly interested in the defender.
Bremer told ESPN: "It's just a matter of time and then I'm gonna leave Torino. I'm considering some proposals. We'll see."
But would he be the right fit at The Emirates?
And would he even be guaranteed a spot in the team after the huge strides forward the Arsenal defence made last season?

What will he offer Arsenal?

If Arsenal sign the Brazilian, then he could fill a hole in the heart of the Arsenal defence for the next decade.
Bremer is now a fully established member of the Torino first XI after developing consistently over the last few years.
He's undeniably among the most complete, most in-form defenders in Italy, possessing power and pace as well as a solid passing range that will make him perfect for a top side in the Premier League.
Every time he steps out on the pitch for Torino, he is going up against high-quality attacking players, and more often than not, Bremer is coming out on top.
Of course, Serie A is not what it once was, but the league can boast some of the best forwards in Europe even now.
Despite that, Torino conceded the fewest goals of any side outside of the top four.

Would he get in the starting XI?

Ben White and Gabriel Magalhães have established the best centre-back pairing at Arsenal since Laurent Koscielny and Per Mertesacker were both in their prime.
They could prove to be even better, having only spent one season playing alongside each other.
Arteta has struggled when playing three at the back, so it is unlikely that White, Gabriel and Bremer will all start in the same team if Arsenal do sign him.
So, could he take one of their spots in the starting XI?
Well, it is unlikely Gabriel will lose his spot, having firmly established himself as Arsenal's best defender.
But despite impressing some during his first season at the club, White still has a lot to prove if he's to cement himself as Arsenal's long-term centre-back.
So, there is a spot up for grabs, but Bremer would not be guaranteed first-team football.

Should Arsenal sign him?

Arsenal should focus their finances on other areas of the pitch.
With so much competition for Bremer's signature, it will be difficult to justify spending so much on his transfer fee if he does not walk straight into the team.
There are huge issues in central midfield that need solving as soon as possible and issues with the squad's strength in depth. So it's fair to say that most Gunners fans would rather see big money spent in other areas rather than on Bremer.
