How much more transfer business are Arsenal likely to do this summer?

By Jonny Bray
Arsenal have already enjoyed an exciting summer transfer window.
Marquinhos, Fábio Vieira, Matt Turner and Gabriel Jesus have all joined the Gunners, with more big names rumoured to be on their way to The Emirates.
But after failing to secure Champions League football, can fans really expect the club to continue their recruitment surge for the rest of the window?
Mikel Arteta's side still has holes in it, with fans calling out for cover in several positions and starting stars in others.
It’s time to take a look at how much more transfer business Arsenal are likely to do this summer.

Goalkeeper

Arsenal have too many goalkeepers.
The Gunners have signed Turner from New England Revolution, and he is an exciting young prospect that could prove to be the perfect cover for Aaron Ramsdale.
After a brilliant first season in north London, Ramsdale looks set to be Arteta's first choice for all of this season.
That leaves Bernd Leno, who will no doubt be looking to make his departure from the club.
The German star looked like the answer to Arsenal's goalkeeping woes a few years ago, but now he's on the fringes.

Defenders

Arsenal need cover at left and right-back.
Takehiro Tomiyasu and Kieran Tierney are both excellent first choices. Still, Manchester City have shown that you need at least two outstanding players in both positions to cover for injury and fixture congestion.
There aren't many standout options, however, and buying cover is notoriously difficult with players keen to secure their spot in the starting XI.

Midfielders

Arsenal have been linked with some exciting box-to-box midfielders since getting the Jesus deal over the line.
Arteta's side are reportedly leading the way in the race for Youri Tielemans' signature.
The Gunners have been linked with a move for the Belgian midfielder for many years now, and this summer could finally be the window where he makes the switch to The Emirates.
In the last week, Arsenal have also been linked with Sergej Milinković-Savić in the press.
The Serbian star is perpetually linked with a move to the Premier League and though he'd come with a hefty price tag, he'd be an incredibly exciting addition to this Arsenal side.

Forwards

The Daily Express have reported that Arsenal are looking to make a swoop for Barcelona forward Memphis Depay.
The Dutch star would be a fine addition to Arsenal's attack despite a difficult time in La Liga.
He would be excellent cover for any of the attacking trio and could also challenge Jesus and Eddie Nketiah for a starting spot up front.
